Overview

About this park

Originally named Mill Park, Aldrich Park is one of the first eight parks in Salem. This neighborhood park features a large gazebo with picnic tables, horseshoe pits, a playground, a spacious grass field, and an enclosed multi-purpose court that includes four basketball hoops and benches. The hard walking trails connect to the surrounding sidewalks. Street parking is available on two sides of the park.

Amenities & facilities

Aldrich Park is important because it provides a space for recreation and community gatherings. It serves as a safe and enjoyable area for families and individuals to spend time outdoors. The park's features, such as the playground and sports facilities, encourage physical activity and social interaction among residents.

The playground at Aldrich Park will receive upgrades as part of the Safety and Livability Bond that Salem voters approved in November 2022. These upgrades will take place throughout the city starting in fiscal year 2023 and continuing through fiscal year 2032.
