Overview
About this park
A small park in the Overlook neighborhood of North Portland, providing green space and a gathering point on the peninsula between the Willamette and Columbia rivers.
Part of the collection of smaller parks that complement the larger green spaces along the North Portland bluffs and escarpment.
Background
History & notes
The park is named after pioneer Matthew Patton who owned land in the West Hills as well as in North Portland. Before 1913, North Interstate Avenue was called North Patton Avenue. When the street was connected to a new bridge over the Columbia River, the City renamed it to reflect its new function.
