Overview
About this park
Waterboard Park takes its name from the municipal water board that once managed the reservoir site atop Singer Hill.
The park itself is a secluded wooded corridor following a lightly trafficked paved road to a promontory with views across Oregon City and the Willamette valley, one of the quieter overlooks in the city.
Background
History & notes
The park carries an unexpected connection to World War II: two buildings that still stand nearby on South John Adams Street were relocated from Camp Adair, Oregon's major WWII training ground where roughly 40,000 people lived between 1942 and 1945, later serving as a vocational school workshop and community cannery.
